Trimming the sails at sea

Why Pedro

Designed by someone who knows teams

Before he was a skipper, Pedro spent years in organisational behaviour, team building, behavioural change and leadership, organising large events and managing projects. So a SkipperPedro company day starts with a question most boat operators never ask: what do you want your people to take back to the office?

From there he chooses the boats, the route and the timing, plans the activities, the food and the music, and stays with your group on the day. You deal with one person from the first call to the last toast.

What we design

Programmes with a purpose

Every company day is built from scratch. These are the briefs we hear most often.

Team building under sail

Your people crew the boat themselves: helm, sail trim, navigation, lookout. Communicating under pressure, trusting each other and adapting to the wind turn into lessons the team feels rather than hears.

Leadership and change

Programmes on leadership and behavioural change that use sailing as the language: setting a course, reading the wind, trimming the sails, knowing when to tack.

Pedro on steering a life

Launches and challenges

Unveil a product, a brand or a new business, or set the team its next big challenge, with Lisbon as the backdrop.

Results and incentives

Celebrate a great year or reward the people who made it happen, with a sunset sail, dinner on deck and music.

Welcoming a new team

A day on the water breaks the ice faster than any meeting room. Ideal after a merger, a reorganisation or a wave of new hires.

Meetings and seminars afloat

Work meetings, presentations and seminars aboard the Príncipe Perfeito, followed by cocktails as the sun goes down.

Formats

Half a day, a full day or an evening

4 hours

Sailing challenge

Teams take a yacht each and sail the Tagus together, with a skipper aboard every boat to coach and keep everyone safe.

8 hours

A full day out

A morning of activities, lunch at anchor off Cascais or Sesimbra, a swim, and time to talk properly on the way home.

The Go Mary catamaran under sail on the Tagus
Up to 150 guests

Evening event

Cocktails, a banquet and music aboard the Go Mary, our 20-metre sailing catamaran, as the city lights up along the river.

How it works

From brief to debrief

The brief

Your objectives, the group, the dates and the budget. A call or a short form is enough.

The design

Pedro proposes the programme, the boats, timings, catering and entertainment, with one clear quote.

The day

Two skippers per boat and a tour manager with your group from boarding to farewell.

The takeaway

We close by connecting what happened on the water to the work back on shore.

Practical

Easy for your company

Boats for large groups

Up to 200 guests

On a single ship, or across several boats sailing together.

Named invoices

Quotes are without VAT. Send your company name and VAT number for the invoice.

Catering and bar

From coffee and pastéis de nata to a seated banquet with full bar service.

One contact

Pedro plans it with you and a tour manager runs it on the day.

Planning a company day?

Tell Pedro about your team

How many people, what you want them to take away, and a few possible dates. He will come back with a programme and a quote.
